Job Description


We are looking for a passionate visual designer to build a best-in-class product metaphor and experience to scale across the F5 Security Product Group (SPG). The practice areas with F5 Shape design are focused on building a center of excellence. Have to achieve this by evolving our F5 design system, developing research fundamentals of understanding our customer experience, and inclusive design practices. Naturally, you collaborate with leaders, co-designers, product teams, engineering, product marketing team, and other partners to stay aligned with the product strategy, user expectations, and business objectives. You will become part of an exciting international team that works in the heart of F5, operating across organizational boundaries with touchpoints to all continents and cultures!

Primary Role and Responsibilities

  • Apply your talent and design skills to craft seamless, end-to-end user experiences.
  • Create your state of art storytelling illustration specific to security, Fraud, risk, and Attackers.
  • Deliver modern and intuitive interaction flows for our internal and external customer-facing personas.
  • Motion graphics and information video creation by using modern tools.
  • Lead our security product-specific design system - F5DS, including design guidelines & UX patterns and reusable components.
  • Continually wear multiple hats and ensure all your designs are scalable, modular, and incorporate different color theory/theme needs.
  • Collaborate closely with other designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to take your plans from concept to reality.
  • Work on the F5 brand and marketing team to align with brand strategy.
  • Engage with users and customers to gather feedback and drive continual improvement to our security products.
  • Foster a constructive environment for teamwork, idea exploration, and creativity.
  • Succeed in a fast-paced environment while effectively navigating ambiguity

Knowledge, Skills, & Ablities

  • An online portfolio that showcases your work, clearly outlining your role and contribution within each project.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite apps, Sketch, and modern prototyping tools
  • Portfolio evidence creating motion graphics and animations
  • A passion for meaningful design solutions and expertise is design principles: color, typography, layout, and conceptual skills.
  • Able to create conceptual feature video demos to convey value to the customers.
  • Able to think creatively and explore original ways to communicate complex concepts in a clear and illustrative way.
  • Ability to have strong color sense and to craft the next generation modern/fresh look applications.
  • Able to work independently and across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Meticulous and conscientious file management while collaborating with other team members.
  • Positive teammate.


  • 4+ years of experience as a brand visual designer at a tech company/B2B company/marketing agency or related venture.
