Position Summary
The Senior Solution Architect is the person who organizes the development efforts. They are responsible for the vision that underlies the solution and the execution of that vision into the solution.
Primary Responsibilities
Release / Project Support
Ensure alignment between roadmap and solutions being delivered.
Find the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems and create/document solution design.
Partnering with product manager for defining technical requirements.
Describing the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other technical aspects of product to business stakeholders.
Own and drive POC/Spike efforts.
Ensure technical integration ability of the solution across multiple applications involved.
Identify, understand and coordinate efforts that have cross team dependencies/impacts.
Team Leadership
Own platform standards and ensure compliance.
Develop and evolve platform or domain roadmap and portfolio
Be an Agile development thought leader, driving continuous improvement of our development capabilities.
Mentor junior members of team.
Provide technical leadership on delivery team.
Participate in Solution Architecture Community of Practice.
Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
Production Support
Partnering with our business system analyst team, troubleshoot and provide solutions for production issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experienced with Web Services (SOAP and Restful) , Microservices and API
Database and data modeling experience and understanding of relational database concepts
Object Orientated programming and design skills (ex: Java programming skills)
Experienced with using Python and SQL
Experienced with manipulating large datasets across heterogeneous systems
Experienced with Data Integration technologies and solution
Experienced with ETL, data pipeline and Real-Time Data Streaming
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines
Experience with agile software development processes
Experience with designing solutions that are scalable, maintainable and adhere to policies, standards and best practices
Experience working with multiple, large enterprise platforms and diverse technology environment
Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can enhance and improve these processes
Experienced in building data solutions with GCP and AWS
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
Regarded as technical lead by peers and management.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, communication, planning, problem solving, trouble shooting, facilitation and organization skills.
Strong influencing, coaching, mentoring and leadership skills
Deep analytical skills and detail oriented
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
Qualifications
BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
15+ years of deep technical work experience in one or more IT areas including but not limited to the following:
IT architecture, infrastructure, and development
Engineering and software architecture design
Business analysis
DevOps
Project and product management
